Performances of "The Long Hate Song"

The large-scale landscape historical dance drama “The Song of Everlasting Hate” is a work based on the long narrative poem of the same name by the Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi, and artistically recreates the love story between Emperor Minghuang of the Tang Dynasty and Yang Guifei through the form of dance drama.

· The Song of Everlasting Hatred is China's first large-scale live-action historical dance drama, which has been performed continuously for 18 years since its launch in 2006.

· The dance drama is performed in the Huaqing Palace scenic area, which is the real place where the historical story took place, and uses the dance drama form to artistically recreate Bai Juyi's The Song of Eternal Hatred.

· The Song of Everlasting Hatred is a 70-minute play consisting of ten acts, including “A Daughter of the Yang Family Grows Up” and “Once Chosen by the King”, which showcases the great Tang Dynasty and the legend of love through a variety of artistic techniques.

· Utilizing landscapes, classical music and dance, poetic narration, and high-tech lighting, sound and special effects, the show allows the audience to experience a love story that took place on the banks of the Huaqing Pond more than a thousand years ago.

· The Song of Everlasting Hatred has been performed over 5,000 times and received approximately 10 million visitors.

· In December 2021, Huaqing Palace launched a winter version of the ice and fire Song of Eternal Hatred, realizing a breakthrough in outdoor winter live performance in the north.

· The Song of Eternal Hatred was completely renewed in terms of lighting and choreography, actors' costumes and props, presenting oriental stage charms in a mirror-like manner.

· The performance facilities of “Song of Everlasting Hatred” include all-weather folding LED, underwater mechanical stage, fully concealed performance facilities, and retractable performance tables and chairs.

· The dance drama takes Mount Li as the background and the Jiulong Lake of Huaqing Pond as the stage, using high-tech means to create a fantastic visual experience.

· The performance team of Song of Eternal Hatred consists of experts from different countries and regions, including music, choreography, lighting, sound, costumes, props and stunts.

· With an investment of up to 90 million yuan, the dance drama creates China's largest underwater elevated multi-variable color stage and lays out the world's most advanced lighting equipment.

· The Song of Everlasting Hatred” makes the audience feel like entering the triumphant scenery of the Great Tang Dynasty through the interplay of modern high-tech displays such as sound, light, electricity, water, clouds and gas in Mount Li, a gigantic mountain that is 2,000 meters wide and more than 500 meters high.

· The three national standards of “Service Specification for Live Scene Performances” compiled on the basis of the management and services of “The Song of Everlasting Hatred” were formally released and came into effect on March 1, 2017.

· 2024, The Song of Everlasting Hatred was upgraded and improved in terms of choreographic special effects, lighting props and multimedia effects to provide audiences with an immersive Tang-style audio-visual feast.

This scene describes Yang Guifei's drunkenness after a banquet in the Jade Tower, where she is charming and charming. Tang Xuanzong accompanies her, and the two of them spend their springtime together.

Act VI: The Winds of Immortal Music are Heard Everywhere

This scene is the end of the whole dance drama, showing Tang Xuanzong's deep longing and endless nostalgia for Yang Guifei. It is saddening to see that they meet again in heaven and earth, but they are already separated from each other.
